William L. Holden MBA, MS, CIMA®
William began his professional career as a chemist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in the Environmental Science Division. While at Oak Ridge, he worked on projects focusing on water remediation at Department of Energy (DOE) sites. He also authored and co-authored articles in various scientific publications.
In 1999, William transitioned to a career in finance following his passion for investing and financial analysis. Over the past 24 years, William has focused on providing clients with comprehensive financial planning while developing and managing customized investment solutions.
William holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lambuth University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst® and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society. He also holds Series 7 and 63 with LPL Financial and Series 65 with Private Advisor Group. William also holds Life, Health, and Variable Insurance licenses.
William is a lifelong native of middle Tennessee and lives in Columbia with his wife, Eve, and their two daughters, Lillie Kate, and Caroline. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant where he has served in multiple capacities. ln his free time, he enjoys gardening, fishing, and reading.
Thomas H. Lazenby II AIF®
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Tom spent 17 years in the retail industry, with multi-million-dollar profit and loss responsibility at various corporations, including Dillard’s Department Stores Inc, and Duty Free International. During this time, he honed his business and people skills with stops in Little Rock AR, Shreveport LA, Knoxville TN, San Diego, CA and San Antonio, TX.
Tom began his investment industry career in 1999 when he and his wife Susan, decided to move back home to Tennessee. With a desire to help others, he has taken his business acumen and applied it to assisting clients pursue their financial goals. His focus is on building a financial roadmap through comprehensive planning and customized investment solutions.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. He was a Founding Board Member of the Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC). In addition, Tom is a member of the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association, Volunteer Athletic & Scholarship Fund and National Youth Sports Coaches Association. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF) and holds a Series 7 and 63 with LPL Financial and Series 65 with Private Advisor Group. Tom also holds Life, Health, and Variable Insurance licenses.
Tom grew up in Nashville and now lives in historic Franklin, Tennessee. He and his wife, Susan, have a daughter, Ellis, and a dog, Mac. He enjoys playing golf, college football, and BBQ cooking
Susan Martin MBA, CFP®
Susan began her career as a financial advisor in the late 90’s at a wire house brokerage firm, which is where she met Tom and William. Although they went their separate ways building careers differently, they kept in touch. Susan spent 19 years with pension fund giant TIAA, with her last role advising High Net Worth clients as a Wealth Management Advisor. With a background and expertise in interpreting 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans, Susan has helped thousands of people in Higher Education, K-12 and cultural organizations understand plan rules all while weighing their retirement income and investment options through financial planning.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Martin has a degree in International Economics and Master of Business Administration from Central Missouri State University. With over 20 years of experience, Susan holds Series 7, 24 and 63 Licenses with LPL Financial and Series 65 license with Private Advisor Group and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.
Susan joined William and Tom again in 2022, as they embarked on creating an independent firm leading relationships with a financial plan. She enjoys volunteering at church and with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Susan grew up in Alamo, Tennessee and lives with her husband Freddie in Franklin, Tennessee. Her daughter Malynn is a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Tiffany Smith
Tiffany started with Franklin Wealth Solutions in 2023.
She answers client calls, schedules appointments, handles all administrative tasks and outgoing communication for the advisors at Franklin Wealth Solutions. She enjoys working with clients to ensure they feel valued. Tiffany graduated from the University of Tennessee, Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She grew up in Fulton, Kentucky and has lived in Franklin, TN for almost 30 years.
Prior to joining Franklin Wealth Solutions, Tiffany held support positions in the insurance and publishing industries. Most notably, she was a Senior Underwriting Service Specialist where she provided the highest level of care to each policy holder. Tiffany also excelled in the Executive Coordinator Partner Services role where she supported a highly successful sales force.
A recent empty nester, her son Connor is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Miller, is a baseball player at Vanderbilt University. She is also a bonus mom to Hagan and Dillon. Tiffany and her husband, Shawn love spending time together walking their chocolate lab Mia, boating on the lake and volunteering at church. An avid sports fan, you can find her cheering for her son Miller on the baseball diamond at Hawkins Field.
